The Continental Cotton Gin, located in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas, is one of the oldest existing structures in Dallas. The original section was built is 1860 with an addition completed in 1890. The historical renovation process and approvals took around 4 years with final approvals coming from the National level through the Smithsonian in D.C. Much care was taken throughout the process to preserve and restore as much of the originality as possible.
