CIVIL PROJECT ENGINEER
The Civil Project Engineer will lead design efforts and coordination of design teams, interact directly with clients and review agencies, mentors’ younger designers, and provide project management and marketing support efforts on a variety of projects. Our civil project engineers are strong technical writers and communicators with proficiency in preparing reports and other correspondence for clients and regulatory agencies. The preferred candidate will have experience with local and regional design standards, and be able to apply those standards to design. They will develop their professional skills and project experience toward promotion to a senior civil project engineer position under the guidance of veteran industry professionals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS: (including but not limited to)
-Preparation of site grading and utility plans, street improvement plans, hydraulic calculations and the supervision and training of junior-level staff.
-Ability to perform assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities.
-Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of technical work
-Prepare cost estimates.
-Supervise or coordinate the work of drafters, technicians and others who assist in assignments.
-Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria using clear judgment.
What You Need for this Position
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
-Minimum 2 years of experience in land development including, but not limited to commercial, multifamily and retail projects.
-EIT License (required)
SKILLS AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE :
-Excellent communication, organizational and teamwork stills
-Motivated self-starter with excellent civil engineering design skills
-Knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
-Ability to plan and organize a team effort.
